The Mach Shift 3-in-1 Portable Practice Basket is an advanced and innovative lightweight all-metal disc golf basket that has three different catching positions: Standard Shift, Advanced Shift, and Pro Shift. Standard Shift Position: Standard catching area with two rows of chain. Advanced Shift Position: All chains hang from the center 12" inner chain holder and the outer chain holder is removed. Pro Shift Position: For an added challenge the outer chain holder is removed like the Advanced Position and the chain assembly lowers using the telescoping pole with quick release lock to adjust the position. The Mach Shift comes with a high-quality gunmetal grey powder coated portable base, lower pole section, trapper basket and outer chain holder assembly. The upper retracting pole is weather resistant silver zinc coated and the top inner chain holder band has a durable powder coated finish available either in blue or white. DGA is shifting the way you practice disc golf. If you’re looking for a practice basket that can do it all, the Mach Shift 3-in-1 Portable Practice Basket is the right choice.

Standard Shift Position

In this position, the Mach Shift is assembled with a conventional catching area with two rows of chain. This is perfect for emulating the catching zone you will find at your local course.

Advanced Shift Position

In this position, all chain is moved to the 12” diameter inner chain holder ring and the outer chain holder is removed. This narrows the catching area and allows you to tighten your focus on the chain.

Pro Shift Position

For an added challenge, the chain catching area can be reduced even further from the Advanced Position by lowering the telescoping pole. By loosening the quick release lock, the pole can easily be adjusted.

Why Buy Multiple Baskets?

With other baskets, you would have to purchase 2 or 3 baskets to give you the features that are available on one Mach Shift. Why pay extra when you get all the features you need in one Mach Shift.

Great basket for training!

This is an awesome basket for those who are wanting to dial in their putting accuracy by using the adjustable chain assembly and telescoping pole. This is comparable to other marksman baskets on the market and can help you train your putting precision.
However, the 16-chain assembly makes it fall short of other standard baskets in its price range that typically have 24 chains. For this reason, this basket is best used for its marksman setup and would work well for personal practice, putting leagues, and youth clinics. It may not perform to expectations for competition on pop up courses.

For DGA, I believe this basket would be more competitive in the market if the additional 8 chains can be included in the assembly for the same price to supplement the existing 16-chain marksman setup and they can be left to hang when not in use. I’m going to be running some experiments to test its performance with a home-engineered alteration.
